What we Believe. . .

 

We BELIEVE that the Bible is the only inspired and infallible written Word of God that it is complete and lacking nothing.  II Peter 1:19-21;  II Timothy 3:16.


We BELIEVE that Jesus Christ is fully God and came to earth in the flesh. 


We BELIEVE that Jesus in the flesh was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for the atonement of our sins, rose again on the third day and ascended unto heaven where He now sits on the right hand of the God the Father and makes intercession for the saints.  Luke 1; Luke 23-24; I Corinthians 15:3-4;  Romans 8:34.


We BELIEVE in the second coming of Jesus Christ who will return to judge all mankind and rapture the saints.  II Timothy 4:1; I Thessalonians 4:13-17.


We BELIEVE that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons:  God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.  Ephesians 4:6; John 14:16. 


We BELIEVE that “there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” other than Jesus Christ.  Acts 4:12. 

We BELIEVE that salvation may be obtained by any one who confesses with their mouth the Lord Jesus, repents from their sins and believes in their heart that God has raised Jesus from the dead.  John 3:16;  Romans 10:9.

We BELIEVE in water baptism, which was commanded by the apostles (who were sent by God) who were guided by the Holy Spirit (who was sent by God), and is a required act of obedience for every believing Christian.  Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; Acts 8:16.

We BELIEVE in the baptism of the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4.

We BELIEVE that followers of Christ are called and are able to live a holy life of sanctification and purity through the enabling power of the indwelling Holy Spirit. Leviticus 11:44; James 1:21; Galatians 5:16-26.
